A cabin crew member on an Air India Express flight from Bahrain was arrested at Kochi Airport while caught red-handed smuggling 1487 grams of gold. The cabin crew member was only identified by his first name, Shafi. He was apprehended by Customs sleuths who recovered the gold that was wrapped around his hands late on Wednesday night(08/03/23).
In a statement Air India Express said that the arrsted cabin crew member has been suspended with immediate effect.
