A new airline is likely to join the already crowded skies in Libya as Crown Airlines launched a recruitment drive for Airbus A320 pilots and ancillary staff. The nascent company has Ziad Farhoud as Chief Executive Officer. Farhoud is no stranger to the Libyan aviation industry having been CEO of Libyan Wings until September last year.
Ziad Farhoud brings with him a wealth of experience having held senior positions at Airbus, including that of sales director. The Chief Commercial Officer Sulaiman Abdulhakim Sadi is also an ex-Libyan Wings employee where he held various senior positions until meking it to the top. The company will join an array of Libyan companies all vying to dominate the market, which until now include FlyOya, Ghadames Air Transport, Air Libya, Buraq, Berniq, Libyan Airlines, Afriqiyah and Medsky among others.
