Shannon Yeager was Director of Sales in the US for Tecnam between 2014 and 2021. When interviewed by Flight International in 2015 he explained that Tecnam usually delivers an aircraft from concept to certification in about 3.5 years. At the time when the aircraft was first mooted 7 years ago, Tecnam had revealed it was approached by two militaries to develop the variant. A civilian version was supposed to follow. Flight International (28th July – 3rd August 2015) gave ample coverage to the proposed Tecnam P-Jet. Little has been heard since 2016. Has Tecnam cooled down on the concept ?
