News from Lisa Airplanes have been hard to come by lately. We know the second prototype of the Lisa Airplanes Akoya made its debut in 2017. The French company had great ambitions for the two seat amphibian and was keen to enter the US market where such Light Sport Aircraft have become extremely popular. Well known Flight International aviation journalist Kate Sarsfield gave an excellent update on the Akoya programme. Unfortunately very little has been heard of during the past 24- months. On the other hand despite some setbacks ICON has been extremely good at keeping the A5 in the public eye. It has almost become a fashion statement as much as driving your M Power BMW or AMG Mercedes.
