This Chinese-built ERJ 145 had been in store at Alverca Air Base in Portugal for more than two years. It transited through Malta during the past 48 hours carrying the registration 2-TGHH and on its way to Sabiha Gocken in Turkey. The aircraft was last registered to Airbus Industrie and it is not clear who the end user will be. The aircraft is currently in the fold of little-known Malta- based company Alphastream with its offices in Floriana. This ERJ 145 looks quite battered and will need some attention before it enters revenue service once more. After scope clauses in the US were relaxed, the 50-seater jets started facing the cull. in a number of markets. The joint venture between Harbin and Embraer established on China’s mainland came to a close in 2016 after producing both the ERJ 145 as well as its business jet derivative the Legacy 600/650.
