The Libyan aviation scene continues its expansion unabated despite the ongoing strife within the country. In the last few hours we have just seen this ex-Swiss RJ100 transiting through LMML on its way to Benghazi. The aircraft flew from East Midlands where it received some attention and was painted in Air Libya colours. When part of the Swiss fleet, this RJ100 was in special colours promoting “Zurich Airport Shopping Paradise”. It is a well known airframe registered HB-IYS when still on the FOCA register. It has now been re-registered 5A-FLF.
