The Return of the Seaplane Rally

In a facebook post the president of the Malta Seaplanes Association, Jonathan Galea, announced the return of the Como to Malta Seaplane Rally – Roberts Cup after a two year hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic. The seaplane rally will be held between the 29th of September and the 2nd of October.

In an article published by Times of Malta in 2018, Jonathan Galea explained that the aim of the Como to Malta Seaplane Rally is to recreate some of the exhiaration of maritime aviation over the last 100 years. Its focus is on the Mediterranean, which is where the first seaplane was flown by Frenchman Henri Fabre on March 28, 1910.
