MAviO Think Tank publishes proposals

For the past few months, the head of the MAviO Think Tank Captain Sinclair Portelli and his close collaborators have been talking to the Maltese GA community at large from flight instructors to student pilots to garner ideas about the proposed Gozo Airstrip.

Captain Portelli, together with University of Malta Lecturer Riccardo Flask and banker Joanne Calleja, have collected the feedback and put it into a report which was presented to the authorities, namely the Ministry for Gozo and the Gozo Regional Development Authority. Some of those whom we met have doubts on whether a 450 metre runway would be ideal for flight training. Other pertinent questions are mentioned in the report.
