Award Winners 2011

The awards started in 2012, however in 2011, we gave due recognition to three people who had worked extremely hard to help MAviO get off the ground in what was a very harsh environment at the time. I have also included the OLD Awards Logo which was used till 2016.

The very first recruit within the MAviO team was Marica Vella, who gave a sterling contribution until 2014 before moving to pastures new. She was also a regular contributor to World Airnews and was highly admired for her impeccable and accurate reporting.

Ramona Galea who was part of the senior management team at Maintenance Centre Malta, played a pivotal role in supporting the first MAviO conference. She was also a determining factor in aiding to launch the first MALTA SPECIAL on World Airnews. 

Chris Galea from Malta Enterprise was a key figure in helping the MAviO team to get this important government agency on board. Chris was a firm believer in MAviO and his relentless support created the necessary leverage for such an initiative to see birth.
